Repeater Access

Just curious to why I can't seem to access a repeater in Vilonia. I actually drove to the repeater location and verified correct tones and never got a sound.

Do you ever hear any activity from this repeater? Do they ID?

What radio are you using? What state is Vilonia?

They might not have a "repeater tail." Do you have a 2nd GMRS radio to put some distance between you and another family member and try to communicate through this repeater?

And remember just because a repeater is listed here does not mean its actually there. I really wish the DB would auto delete al after a year if no one did updates.

I’m using a HT KG-935g. I have not tried another radio to Communicate through it yet., but need to. Its located in Arkansas. I could not hear an ID or tail.  I’m new to the game and thought I was understanding, but could not even hear activity on it. Thanks for the tid-bits and will try with 2 radios.
