just picked up this radio. Retevis RB17P  Im having trouble with understanding how to set the frequency for the repeater channels. Booklet says channel 30 has a preset ctc frequency but I need a different one for my local repeater.. can someone please help...

Here’s what the manual says:

Press the Menu button 

Use the up or down buttons to go to menu 4

Press the OK button to select that menu

Use the up or down arrows to go to the right CTCSS code

Peess the OK button to confirm that setting.

I thought this figure in the manual listed the menu items:

 

[WRQL415]

The only way to set this up was to use the program cable. Since it needed BOTH a transmit AND a receiving CTCSS.   thank you all for helping a new guy..
