am searching for a list of GMRS mobile/base (not HT) radios listed by power (maximum wattage) and an online search has not been fruitful. The sites that do list "best" GMRS radios are mostly advertising for (by too?) the Chinese manufacturers like Woxun

I am unaware of a list of all GMRS radios of any organized fashion. You’ll have to go shopping ? but that’s the fun of it. 50 watts is going to be the max though for mobile/base radios.

Be aware that there is often a very big difference between the "listed" power output claimed by the manufacturer, and the actual power output measured by a power meter.

So, if you are considering buying a radio, look for blogs or Youtube videos where someone has actually tested the power output.

More Power does not necessarily = Better.

Frequency stability, hum, distortion, audio fidelity, deviation envelope - those things matter too. To paraphrase an old timer  - if you sound like an angry Donald Duck trapped inside a tin outhouse - does it really matter how many watts you're pumping out?
