GMRS Duplexer

WRXT271

Question

Does anyone have any comments or experience with this XLT Communications GMRS Mobile Duplexer (50 Watt)? https://www.buytwowayradios.com/xlt-dp-gmrs-50.html

It would appear that this is tuned correctly or close for GMRS repeater band plan. I would imagine it could be tweaked for a specific frequency pair to be used.

I have used one and it worked great.  If you get it from your link they will tune it the the specific frequency you want when you order it.

Just dont put the full 50W through it as it probably wont last long.. If you burn it out using a 50W radio they will replace it within the warranty period, but if you limit your power to ~30Watts or so, it will last much longer.

Thank You OffroaderX.  In most cases 30 watts ERP with gain antenna is enough for a repeater. I'm looking at options. I just revived my GMRS License. I haven't even bought a radio yet as I am trying to find a repeater to use here in Burbank, CA.

So far no responses from repeater owners. 😫

Can you recommend a duplexer that won’t have issues running at full 50 watts?
