WRYT685 Posted October 18, 2023 Report Posted October 18, 2023 Going to my first Anime/Scifi/fanfest this weekend with my adult daughter. She's big into them, makes costumes and everything. What should I expect? Quote
BoxCar Posted October 18, 2023 Report Posted October 18, 2023 A lot of fun and wierdness. WRXB215 1 Quote
SteveShannon Posted October 18, 2023 Report Posted October 18, 2023 I’ve only been to one about a few decades ago. My daughters and niece surprised me by paying for me to get an autographed picture of Walter Koenig. There might be something for everyone. Maybe even FRS Star Trek communicators. Quote

I have never been, but I have colleagues who try to go regularly and no matter how I try to find "that common denominator", there is none. Well, they have one thing in common: They are on my team (educators at a small charter school satellite) -- do I attract weird people ?!? If you want some visuals, spend sone time on you tube and you will find tons of videos from any of those events Focus on what really counts: Your daughter thinks that you are cool enough and that you will not embarrass her !!! Above all: Have Fun !!! Quote
