Hi, new member and totally new to GMRS. I am trying to understand how to use repeaters, I've read that the 8 repeater channels set up in the radio already have the offset programed? Is this correct or is it the frequency of that particular repeater that has the offet? I am asking because I've read in the manual that I can assign additional slots for repeaters along with the already pre-program 8 that I have in the radio. So if I choose a DIY channel and put in the frequencies with the correct tones do I have to put in the offet?
