How to register for membership without FCC call sign?

I'm trying to register as a member but it wants a US call sign.

I'm in Canada and don't need one here.

Can I still join or is this site strictly for Americans?

It’s strictly for people with GMRS licenses.  You could get a GMRS license and then register.

I wanted to join the site.  I'm not going to visit the US.

I'm just using GMRS in Canada

Then US repeaters will not be of any use to you. If you are just wanting to participate in the forum, you can continue to do so just the way you are doing it now.

I'm not the site owner so it's not my call.  @rdunajewski owns the site and makes the rules.  Feel free to send him a message to see what he thinks.  I'm no expert on Canadian GMRS, but it sounds like it's very similar to FRS.  There are very few FRS threads here; most folks are more interested in higher power GMRS and access to repeaters. $35 for a ten year license is the most straightforward way to join though.

Good luck, whatever you decide.
