WRWE456
To swap NMO antennas you just unscrew the the base from the mount sticking through roof and screw on a different one. You can swap them as needed for different applications.

I wish they made one that could just be swapped out but I couldn’t find any. There are Alan screws holding the actual antenna rod in place. One would think you could just take the short one out and put a long one in and swap as necessary but I’m not seeing them sold individually. If you really think that simply changing the element will work go to an auto parts store and pick out a replacement automotive antenna whip. Last time I checked they were $10. But the base of the antenna probably has a coil and a capacitor that were chosen for the whip you want to replace so you’re kind of working bass-backwards. nokones
The Antenna Farm sells the element separately. I've bought several rods for Laird base load antennae.
