WRXR374 Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 I want to be able to generate a map that shows the circles of coverage for all repeaters that hit a given point / address (with the understanding that the circles on the MyGMRS map aren't exact!). A one-glance that shows all repeaters I should be able to hit from wherever, and it'd be nice if it was printable, different colors, a legend of frequencies and tones, etc. Quote
linx Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 You can use this website to generate tower coverages in your area, and even display multiple coverages at the same time. It won't be circles like you are asking because of terrain, but it will show you the coverage of the repeater so long as you know the coordinates and height of the antenna. It asks for other information as well like gain, you can just ballpark it unless you need something very accurate. https://www.ve2dbe.com/rmonline_s.asp WRXB215 1 Quote
Socalgmrs Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 Just remember….. the tower will almost AWLAYS have way better coverage then you can transmit into it. So just because you are well within the circle and can hear the repeater perfectly fine does not mean it can hear you. Nothing replaces actual radio checks in the ground from different places. Which is a lot of the "I can hear repeater X but can't transmit to it" posts. SteveShannon and AdmiralCochrane 2 Quote

One of its great features is radius maps. We use it all the time for training.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
