WSEM624 Posted October 30, 2024 Report Posted October 30, 2024 Good evening, I am new to GMRS and will be taking my Ham Radio license test on November 02, 2024. I live in Jackman, Maine and would like to get to know the local broadcast community. WRQD922, WSEM628 and WRXB215 3 Quote

WRXB215 Posted October 30, 2024 Report Posted October 30, 2024 @WSEM624 I would wish you luck but I know you don't need luck. You'll do just fine. BTW, it two-way-radios it's called "transmitting" not "broadcasting" </end sad-ham rant> Quote

Broadcasting is when you transmit one way,not expecting a two way conversation. Some radio services (like GMRS) prohibit it except in specific instances for emergencies. Quote
