Good evening,

I am new to GMRS and will be taking my Ham Radio license test on November 02, 2024.  I live in Jackman, Maine and would like to get to know the local broadcast community.

BTW, it two-way-radios it's called "transmitting" not "broadcasting"

Actually that’s a valid regulatory point rather than “sad ham.”.  Broadcasting is when you transmit one way,not expecting a two way conversation. Some radio services (like GMRS) prohibit it except in specific instances for emergencies.
