TID Radio TD-H8 audio issue

Hello, looking for help with audio on a the TD-H8. When receiving or trasmitting,  the radio lights up, signal bars good, etc but I don't hear any audio. Same issue simplex or repeater. I used another known good radio to test it. Is there a specific setting that needs to be turned on or something? or maybe the radio is faulty? Thanks

1) Make sure the volume is up

2) Turn down the squelch

3) Disable any Receive(RX) CTCSS/DTC/DPL tones or codes

If, after all that, you still dont hear anything, send it back and tell them to send you one that works.

Thank you. I did a factory reset, turned the mic gain up. now I can transmit. But still no receive audio. does the same thing. lights up, signal bars show full strength but no audio. no tones or codes programmed after the reset. I think the radio is bad.

I’ve seen bad earphone jacks cause that.

Do you have a speaker mic you can try? Might be able to isolate where the issue is.

Or just wipe it and send it back.
