I just received an email from RT Systems, They are working on making Mac compatible versions for the Wouxun radios. She stated that they are working on it and have to ready to go for testing. Unfortunately she did not say which radios.

I'm glad that they are working on Mac versions of their software for the Wouxun radios.

Do they charge an additional charge for the Mac version, once you have purchased the Windows version?

As I recall it’s tied to your email / account. You can download either.

The activation code would be different for the two versions. You get a code for the version purchased.

I’m thinking the answer to that question and the original one is the same, contact RT Systems and ask them.

Already have, I’m just waiting for them to respond. I’ll report back when I hear from them.

I’m curious if they plan on a Mac version of the DB20 aka RA25 aka AT-779 software.

RT responded to my inquiry about the AT-779 software for Mac.

“Yes, more than likely. There is no specific date at this time.”

So far the only one showing a Mac version is the KG-XS20G when I checked their website a few minutes ago.

An update for those interested. RT Systems has now released a Mac version for the Wouxun KG-1000G/KG-1000G Plus and is available for purchase.

Can owners of the Windows version download the Mac version for no additional cost?

No you can't because they will have different serial numbers. And you need a valid serial number which is tied to the version you purchased.

The cost is actually $25 for each program and an extra $15 for both Windows and Mac versions by contacting RT Systems at time of purchase. RT Systems does not charge sales tax, or at least I didn't get charged the few times I purchased from them.

I haven't had a chance to mess with the KG-1000G CPS yet but the RT Systems CPS is easier to use for my Icom radios compared to the Icom CPS.
