A superhet radio will have slightly better sensitivity to pick up weaker signals.. Slightly better 'selectivity', so it will ignore static/off-frequency noise slightly better.. But yah, most normal people would never notice any differences between a superhet and an SOC/HOMOdyne... HOMO...dyne.. Type radio.. As to the question: IIRC the GXT67 Pro is a partial/modified superset receiver.. Meaning that the receive side is superhet but the transmit side is not (or visa-versa) - But that is just going by memory - and I just woke up, so, that could be wrong. My woxouns and Motorolas and kenwoods all work exactly the same as my poofwangs. Your much lore limited by antennas and surroundings then what type of receiver a radio has. Midlands are a huge waste of money at best anyway. Total low quality gimmicky junk Quote
0 WRYZ926 Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 I have both and can't tell a difference. Now most baofeng's and even the Icom IC-T10 have wide open front ends that are easily overloaded and pick up more interference. WRUU653, SteveShannon and piggin 3 Quote
