It matters a little.. A superhet radio will have slightly better sensitivity to pick up weaker signals.. Slightly better 'selectivity', so it will ignore static/off-frequency noise slightly better..

But yah, most normal people would never notice any differences between a superhet and an SOC/HOMOdyne... HOMO...dyne.. Type radio..

As to the question: IIRC the GXT67 Pro is a partial/modified superset receiver.. Meaning that the receive side is superhet but the transmit side is not (or visa-versa) - But that is just going by memory - and I just woke up, so, that could be wrong.

Does Midland GXT67 PRO have as superhet receiver? Also any major isuues not to but it vs a Q10H/ Q10G, KG 905 or similar. I am GMRS and ham licensed.

Don’t know but I’ll tell you it does not matter at all.   My woxouns and Motorolas and kenwoods all work exactly  the same as my poofwangs. Your much lore limited by antennas and surroundings then what type of receiver a radio has.  Midlands are a huge waste of money at best anyway. Total low quality gimmicky junk
