Does Midland MXMC01 ANC microphone enable narrow band / wide band selection per channel on USB-C MXT275?

The user manual for the "MicroMobile® ANC Microphone for MXT275 & MXT575 USB-C Only - MXMC01" has that menu item 9 is Band Mode that lets you select between NARROW and WIDE. Can anyone confirm that on a MTX275 it allows you to select between narrow and wide for all channels that the 275 supports? I already have the MXT275, intending to mount it up in the drivers side foot well of our Jeep.

I tried to ask the question on the Midland product page, but it was grumpy about add blockers and / or DNS filtering and wouldn't let me submit the question. So I thought I would try asking here.

Thanks.

Midland….. hahaha.  Just grab a good radio for less money and less head ache

Another helpful comment chock-full of details and data.  At this rate it won't be long before you have to change your user-name again to hide from the ridicule/people laughing at you.. Just like you had to do a few months ago..

as to the question: If you have the newer model, it lets you switch between Wide/Narrowband ONLY for the channels that allow Wideband.. Channels 8-14 are narrowband only per our friends at the FCCs.

I remember installing one of these radios in one of my Jeep Club member's vehicle and I was unable to locate the option in the menu to change the bandwidth operation. Most of the older Midlands were narrowband only and I am not sure if Midland has updated this model to change the band operation from Narrowband to Wideband. If they did, it will be in the list of options in the menu only for channels 1-7, 15-22, and RP15 - RP22.

Apparently, by upgrading the microphone to the noise canceling microphone will allow you to change the bandwidth in the MXT275.  My guess is that Midland may have included a firmware update in the microphone for additional functionality in the radio.

I dont have that microphone but on my early 275 all channels are narrow band. On my new 275 repeaters are wideband. The 575 lists both wide and narrow available in the manual as well as on the site. The 275 doesn't list that info. Ch 8-14 are not in either radio.

I guess is there a need for wide narrow ? I use my midlands to talk to other jeeps on the trail and thats about it. Being 99% of the folks are on hand helds or other midland mobiles it works out of the box. YMMV

I'd be curious to know if you do swap mics and it gives you that ability. I am guessing it does not.
