Guest WSGI699 Posted Wednesday at 09:39 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:39 PM Want to flash firmware of an old TK880H Version 1. First issue is setting correct baud rate for writing to the unit, powering on with SCAN key depressed does not eventually show a baud rate for setting up the flash process (obviously a necessity). Second issue, cannot find the version-1 hex file to download for updating the firmware. Suggestions? Quote

Socalgmrs Posted Wednesday at 10:04 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:04 PM Why? I’ve had litterally 100s of radios of all types over 20 years never once ever have I ever updated firmware. Most people I see that try and do it ruin the radio. I mean really what’s the point. It’s not going to change the amount of “channels” or frequencies you have. Why bother just use the radio. Get out into the world and do stuff. Quote
