Problem Receiving on Radiodity DB 40 g

Question

Posted

Newbie here. I am currently using a Radiodity DB40g GMRS. I have it connected to a LifeP04 battery (Watt Cycle). It is 12v 100ah. I have an Ed Fong antennae attached. I can transmit and receive on low power with the two main repeaters I use. However, if I switch power to middle power, I can only transmit but not receive. My friends can hear me but I cannot hear them. So I have to switch back to low power. Then, all is well. I cannot transmit or receive on high power at all. What is going on? Why can’t I receive on middle?

Thank you

A problem with a radioditty? And an Ed fong?  Really? I’ve NEVER heard of that.   I’d day send the Ed fong back and while you’re at it send the db-40 back also.  The all the notes problems on this very site on a weekly basis with radioddity radios why would any one buy one.
