TDM827 Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 Perhaps a good Samaritan will help you out and program them for you. Otherwise a radio shop likely can. A DIY option is buying the software for programing, a programing cable and doing it via PC. Lastly you can check to see if CHIRP open source programming software supports your radio. However its my impression Motorola support is slim to none. Quote
Socalgmrs Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 There is a man on ebay that sells cables. He will also send you a zip file for cps. You will most likely need a 32bit win 7 computer. I got a good used dell lap top off eBay for $100. It looks and runs like brand new and switched over to Motorola exclusively now for all new radios. A professional 50w radio for $150? Or 25w for $100. Why buy anytning else. Quote

All freqs will be programmed with the appropriate emissions and power levels in accordance with the FCC Rules and regs. You just pay for the shipping both ways. tweiss3 Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 It requires Professional CPS version R06.12.05_AA, which is the last version that permits wideband usage. It will work on Windows 10 64bit, but will not even install on Windows 11. Cables can be bought from a multitude of places, Bluemax49er hasn't let me down yet. SteveShannon and WRUU653 1 1 Quote
