  2. So, I got the two 5RH Pro GPS radios today. I have the Baofeng programming software downloaded and running. Now for the issue, it can't read the radio. I tried my normal cable that works for all of my other radios and I tried the one Baofeng provided. It simply fails to read. Crazy thing is I can download a power on picture to the radio so I know the cable is plugged in properly and the radio is getting signal, it's just a No Go for reading or writing anything else to the radio. I really don't want to program all the channels by hand using the front panel since when I did try and wanted to name the channel it was all Chinese letters. Anyone else have these radios and having issues like this? Also, CHIRP is no help since this radio it too new to be supported. Anyway, I'm going to do more research and watch some YouTube videos to see if I can figure this out and if any of ya'll come up with anything please let me know. Thanks.

  4. You Lucky Dog It's Station 127 I wanted to go to LA for the 50th Anniversary in January, 2022, but they postponed it, when I found out the rescheduled date, it was already sold out :(
  5. I drove by the Station in Carson everyday I was working that was used as Station 51 in both the pilot and the weekly episodes. I don't remember the actual Station Number.
  6. I still remember the originals, right from the pilot movie :-)
  7. Does the radio work on other repeaters? That is as good as a watt meter for testing if the repeaters are similar distances away or the one that does work is farther.
  8. One other thought... Chirp has a Settings tab at the top. And several pages listed on the left. If certain important settings are wrong there, it can block transmit.
  9. Thanks to WRMN250, WSBM443, WRXS569, WSGW884, WSCY890, and a late check-in (on the Gallatin repeater) WSAT493 for participating in the 7/16/25 net. Yall rock. The more we can connect, the better we can become.
  10. Hmmm, using unlocked radios could be RAM - Rogue HAM DMR....hmmm....thinking....tick,tick
  11. I really appreciate you guys, thanks a million!
  12. Thanks very much. I will try to reach the owner of that repeater to confirm further.
  13. I don't have a Tidradio. Someone who does could answer better.
  14. So you have two radios, neither of which can transmit to that repeater... So, its very simple: Tone is wrong Channel/frequency is wrong You're too far from the repeater Repeater is offline I'm out.
  15. According to the listed info on this sight, I have confirmed tone. LOL
  16. Yes, same problem! I have transmitted between the two radios on a simplex channel miles away and the both work just fine.
  17. Negative, I have not tested the power.
  18. Today, I went with in a mile of the repeater and still no hit. Are there some other recommendations in my menu to consider?
  19. Have you tried transmitting from your UV5G+? Some Tidradios have bad transmit.
  20. ok.. so you have NOT confirmed the tone is correct.. CHIRP looks good to me, but see what the experts have to say. Have you ever tested your radio with a power meter?
  21. Yes I have. Or at least what is indicated on this website. I saw that is was updated not long ago as well. Does everything look ok on Chirp. By the way, love your Youtube show!
  22. Have you confirmed that the Transmit tone is correct for the repeater?
  23. When I transmit I say my call name and release and hear no squelch tail, no one responds.
  24. This My Chirp. It is channel 25 Tidradio H8
  25. what channel NUMBER is it? and, what, exactly happens when you transmit?
  26. The repeater channel is 17. it's on H power; Tidradio H8 The frequency is 462.600- Tone is 100hz, my squelch is 3; I did not apply a RX Tone;
  27. Post a screenshot of the channel settings in Chirp. It's easy to set things wrong in Chirp. [Whenever you want help, give as much detail as you can.]
