WRUE951 Posted June 23 Report Posted June 23 Anyone else getting a Password Expired Notice when reviewing the latest Repeater updates just sent? I'm getting the notice even though I am logged in. Looks a bit suspicious Quote

Use Firefox with Ublock Origin and Ghostery Add-ons and you won't have to put up with that crap. Quote

Another quirk to the oddities here.. Now days its hard to tell if you are getting hit with a malware attempt to steel passwords. I remember a bunch of people at work a year ago getting similar notices from Microsoft. Turned out that was an attempt to steel peoples usernames and passwords. I actually went to my profile here and changed my password that route and the notice went away SteveShannon and GrouserPad 1 1 Quote
ULTRA2 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago I just received this today it's getting very annoying I was tempted to change my password but thought otherwise lucky I didn't because I tried again to log in with my current password and was able to use my current password to login. Do anyone know how to stop these notices from popping up? Quote

Thanks for the quick response Yes, but you asked how to stop those notices that appear at the upper level and the only way to do that is to change your password at the MyGMRS level. Quote

LeoG Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Go to your membership account and change it from there if you worry this is a information grab from a 3rd party trying to steal your information. I changed mine through the pop up and so far nothing nefarious has happened. SteveShannon 1 Quote
WSHH887 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago There was a fairly serious data breach not long ago. One of the other forum I'm on put that on the opening screen to force folks to change their passwords. Quote
WRUE951 Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago Kind of a weird notice. I’m curious what the time out factor is set at.. I’ve been here close to four years and that was a first. I went to my profile and changed it there and used the same password. Quote

This affected everyone and I don’t believe it was related to our length of membership. WRUE951 1 Quote
