I got my BTech BF-F8HP yesterday. And really, I only need it to do 3 basic simple things right off ight now: 1) Let me program in a single frequency on Band A Channel Mode so I can go right there, and maybe Band B for another channel I want to save, and 2) Let me scan between X Frequency and Y frequency (I figured that one out).

 

Yeesh. This radio is way more complicated than t needs to be.

miklor.com has a good amount of information for baofeng/btech stuff.  i find it significantly easier to mess with the settings in chirp than directly on the radio.

It takes time to learn the more advance radio tasks. LMR's make the task of programing and using the radios a little easier, however are still a little confusing the first few times you write a new code plug. Give it some time and you'll find it easier to do the things you want to do.
