randallbonin
Can the Midland MXT115 MICROMOBILE® TWO-WAY RADIO transmit a tone to active a repeater? 0 OldRadioGuy
The only confusion may be that some radios give the actual tone and others just number them sequentially. There is a table on page 27 that gives the actual tone freq for each numbered tone. You probably want to have that with you when you travel. 0 randallbonin
Maybe my initial post may have been confusing. A repeater can have a tone for TRANSMITTING to the repeater, and a tone (or EVEN a different tone) for RECEIVING the transmission from the repeater. My question: Is the tone adjustable on the Midland MXT115 for repeater INPUT tone, or repeater OUTPUT tone, or the tone entered used for both TX and RX? Thanks,Randall B. 0 Sbsyncro
FWIW the only currently available Midland GMRS radio capable of split tones is the MXT400, and that is only possible via PC programming.
