WRME848 Posted August 5, 2021 Report Posted August 5, 2021 Greetings, Was wondering what type of network interface is being used for repeaters that are on the different hubs (i.e. Midwest Hub)? In addition, if I wanted to put a repeater on one of the hubs what is a good starting point for point of contact or discussion for standards and operations? Quote
rdunajewski Posted August 5, 2021 Report Posted August 5, 2021 The hubs don't have repeater interfaces because they are only hubs -- not directly connected to a radio or repeater. Think of them as a reflector or chat room. Multiple repeater nodes can join the hub and cross-communicate while connected. Quote
WRME848 Posted August 5, 2021 Author Report Posted August 5, 2021 Ok...let me ask another way. How are repeater owners then getting the audio to the HUB? Quote

djxs Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 This is very interesting. Does anyone have any videos that show more on this? Quote
OffRoaderX Posted August 10, 2021 Report Posted August 10, 2021 We do it with no direct-connection to the repeater.. Using a Radio configured to use the repeater -> to a RadioTone RoIP3 -> into a laptop -> to the interwebz. WRZT429 1 Quote
