Guest WRPQ444
Good evening all, The FCC saw fit to issue me this Call sign several days ago. Its been a while since previous GMRS activity, but I thought this would be a good time to, "Increase my equity in communications diversity by being more inclusive of non-cellular phone systems" Ok that was supposed to be funny! Anyhow I'm looking to find out more about how the GMRS repeater process works. I should have a direct line of sight to the Devil's Repeater, node 25504 if I looked stuff up correctly. Thank you all for your time and I'd appreciate any useful feedback. Thank you. WRPQ444 OUT.
MichaelLAX
WELCOME! I take your joke to mean, you now operate with the proper license! The Devil's Head repeater is on 462.550 (a/k/a Channel 23 a/k/a Repeater Channel 1) and is part of the MidWest GMRS Repeater Network. You can ask for permission, and if granted, they will give you the necessary tone(s) to gain access. https://mygmrs.com/repeater/2893 https://midwestgmrs.com What radio do you use? WRPQ991
If I'm correct the WRP means he's in Texas somewhere. I'm new to this too but noticing the call signs and locations....

GMRS callsigns are assigned sequentially. He is in WI according to the FCC database. SteveC7010
