Hello Gentlemen,

I'm a brand new GMRS user introducing myself from the Inner Banks of North Carolina.
Also a Ham operator and just realized there is a GMRS repeater right here in town, so I decided to get my GMRS ticket as well.
WRTS213 ~ Waterfront Radio Tranmitting Station 213  (The only way I can remember a 7-character call sign)  :)
Thanks for having me in your community.

Hey guys I'm in Wilmington. Got my GMRS license a few years ago and my ham ticket (KO4VPA) late last year.

I wonder if we should start a Carolinas GMRS group/club/whatever? It would be nice to have a bi-state net. Unfortunately there are no GMRS repeaters in my county. ?

You and I are in the same predicament.  No close repeaters and even worse, I have not heard but a handful of traffic on the radio simplex either.
