Gmrs and repeater sorce/data file

Just wondering if their is a place to download the fpu data or sorce file for gmrs and repeater frequencies on the tk-880 i mean it’s easy to program if you have the time to enter each frequency individually but is their a place to download the info like chirp for quicker access?

Do you mean does another user of the Kenwood TK-880 here on myGMRS have a preprogrammed code plug to share with you?  What does fpu mean?

I did post a codeplug for my favorite mobile, the Radioddity DB20-G a/k/a Anytone AT-779UV on my local PAPA Systems Ham Radio club website, with an alternate that does just that for those interested in both Ham Radio 2 meters and 70 cms and GMRS.

So perhaps another TK-880 user will pop up here, too!

And yes, CHIRP is handy in having those links to easily download specific groups of frequencies and I am still waiting for them to update to the DB20-G as well.

Yes he is looking for a file for the kenwood software. To my knowledge there is not one on this site. Just start typing. Its a commercial radio so it will never work with Chirp

So I downloaded the Kenwood CPS software, but it wants me to read a codeplug off the radio.

If you send me a codeplug, I can read it into the software and go from there:

I was looking to program rail road frequencies into my 7160 also I love to listen to the train traffic and local businesses but their are 100’s of frequencies it would take me days to program lol that’s why I was wondering if their was a place to download the sorce files

If the CPS for a radio supports importation of a CSV file you might be able to export from Chirp to a CSV file (assuming that Chirp exports), and then reformat the file to work with your CPS.

Apparently, if you join RadioReference.com for a short period of time, you download Railroad scanner frequencies in either pdf or csv formats:

Just for the purpose of accuracy, there are a number of Kenwood commercial radios that can be programmed with Chirp. I have personally used Chirp to program a TK-862, and Chirp lists a few Vertex radios as well. Chirp does not appear to support the model the OP mentioned, but there are some commercial radios that can be programmed with Chirp. 

Looking at Chirp’s supported radio list prior to posting this, I see an asterisk on some models, noting a possible change in support status using something called “Chirp-Next”. I don’t use Chirp often, and don’t keep up on the changes to it, so if one is interested in using Chirp for a Kenwood TK model, do your own research.
