I just received my GMRS lic today on 12/12/23 i am interested in becoming a member but i will not let me register with my call sign

Mike, it sometimes takes some time for the database to be propagated to myGMRS.com. Just give it a little time and it will show up and you will be able to register.

Hello Mike and welcome. @WRXB215 is correct, it usually takes a couple days at most for the FCC to put it in the database that this site uses to verify your call, unless the FCC is having issues. You can check the database here.

Is this chart showing the last update was on 12/3/23 for the licenses.

Is this showing the upcoming updates?

If Irecieved my callsign on 12/11/23 shouldn't it have shown up on the Tuesday 12/13/2023 update?

When gaps occur in the FCC database files, you won't show up until the following Sunday's full database update. The FCC publishes a weekly full database file, and then during the week they publish the new and updated licenses incrementally (known as deltas). If their system doesn't generate a daily file and your callsign would have been in that day's file, you won't appear in the next daily file -- you'd show up in the next weekly full database file.

It's a pretty antiquated system, but it works most of the time. The biggest issue is waiting until the next day for us to learn about new licenses. The FCC created an API that allows live lookups, but it's painfully slow and practically unusable. It's easier to download the database updates and host the data in-house.
