No, obviously they don't. My point is, don't draw attention to yourself if you are operating on GMRS with non-GMRS radios.

WSAA635
He was jamming a repeater so someone turned him in. I don't plan on doing any such thing. Unless someone want's to be a KAREN and turn me in for owning a HAM radio with GMRS frequencies programmed into it then it's "no harm, no foul" as far as I'm concerned. WSAA635
Man this topic has gotten WAY Off Topic. LOL. I simply want to say what a Great Radio I think this is(HAM or GMRS/MURS aside) and we've gotten off on FCC Rules/Regulations and the Law and Going to Jail. Almost sorry I posted this. If I can ever afford one, I'll get it. I just won't tell anyone I'm also going to program it for... WSAA635, Lscott and WRYZ926 1
WSAA635
I am going to make a video about the 5 things that I've found out about it that I don't like. They're not "Deal Breakers" by any means but still, if a cheap UV-5R has these features then this radio should have them as well but like I said, I still really like this radio. That's why I bought a 2nd one. WRXB215
WRYZ926
Wouxun does make some good hand held radios. The KG-935G has been a solid radio for me and others. I know a few guys that really like the KG-UV9D Mate and KG-UV8H. I've been considering the new KG-Q10H quad band radio myself. jwilkers
The uvd1p units (had?) Have a "suicide chip" that will.fail and render the radio useless. It has something to do with read write cycles to nvram.Sent from my SM-A136U using Tapatalk

It seems if this is the case the radio would have been discontinue long ago since it's a 13-14 year old design. Does this "suicide " happen with normal use or what?
