Guest ke6qr@comcast.net Posted February 5 Report Share Posted February 5 My 50x1 will not give an audio speech readout. I have menu option 9 turned on (Speech readout) and menu 31 set to English. I do get an audio beep instead of a speech readout as advertised. If I turn menu 9 off the audio beep goes away but still no speech readout. Is there a an optional device that I need to install in the radio for speech readout? Im setting this radio up for a friend who does not have vision.
