dmcpher326 Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 this is weird or just me. Went to chnl 30, freq 462.7250...put in NO offset, NO DCS, NO R/T-CTCSS but the radio added the + offset and I can't get rid of it. Does this chnl/freq automatically ad the offset? If I switch to VFO, it isn't there, just under chnl mode....Radio is a UV-5G plus... Ideas? Thanks David Quote
Guest Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 It’s a gmrs radio. Anything after 22 will have offsets pre programmed for repeater use. 467.xxx is for accessing repeaters not for simplex. A 5g (gmrs radio) will not transmit in Vfo mode. Quote

Channels 15-22 receive on the same frequencies as repeater channels 23-30, BUT there is no offset. So, rather than selecting channel 30, use channel 22. It transmits and receives on 462.725 MHz AdmiralCochrane and WRUU653 2 Quote
