WRUE951 Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 I had one do similar. I thought it was the radio, but after trading with a wouxon antenna, problem went away, But strangely the Nagoya worked fine in another radio. Quote
WRUU653 Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 I haven’t had this happen with mine but it did come with some small ring spacers which makes me wonder if this is what’s needed for some radios. Quote

WSAA635 Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 Not to get too far off topic but I've noticed that sometimes the O.D. of the antenna bade is too large to screw down into the I.D. of the hole on the radio. I had this issue with a Nagoya 701c and my Talkpod A36 Plus. It didn't seat far enough into the radio to make good contact so the factory antenna actually worked better. Quote
JBRPong Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 I had this issue with one of my 771s, I just put a rubber o ring in between and it doesn't screw in all the way and it's working normally. AdmiralCochrane and WRXB215 2 Quote

I had to do that when I did a minor mod to add a "tiger tale" JBRPong 1 Quote
