Guest Craig
I just got a Nagoya na 771 for my baofeng and when I screw it all the way in it doesn’t receive. But when I screw it half way in. It receives. Any ideas why?

WRUE951
I had one do similar. I thought it was the radio, but after trading with a wouxon antenna, problem went away, But strangely the Nagoya worked fine in another radio.
WRUU653
I haven’t had this happen with mine but it did come with some small ring spacers which makes me wonder if this is what’s needed for some radios.

WSAA635
Not to get too far off topic but I've noticed that sometimes the O.D. of the antenna bade is too large to screw down into the I.D. of the hole on the radio. I had this issue with a Nagoya 701c and my Talkpod A36 Plus. It didn't seat far enough into the radio to make good contact so the factory antenna actually worked better. JBRPong
I had this issue with one of my 771s, I just put a rubber o ring in between and it doesn't screw in all the way and it's working normally. WRXB215 and AdmiralCochrane

I had to do that when I did a minor mod to add a "tiger tale" JBRPong
