No malls anywhere near me, but there is a Dollar General within range. They don't use radios, though; they just yell across the store.

I hear people talking on it but I have not been able to key it up in a few weeks now.  Shaw 525 went down also about the same time.  (HAM)

I got a hit on Shaw 725 a couple days ago. I wasn't expecting it but I tried it to test a radio I'd just programmed and got a return from it. 

There's not that many GMRS Repeaters in the Phoenix area, it'd be ashamed if we lost one.

On the other hand we're covered up in 2M/70cm HAM Repeaters here in the Valley which is a good reason to get your Amature License.

Is Shaw Butte still using the same tone? Unfortunately, I'm galavanting around in the golden state so I am not in position to check at the moment.

I know it's one of the few repeaters on GMRS that covers the entire valley and that I can hit with my HT. To say it's important is an understatement.
