seanpatrickrice
Can I cut the darn cigarette plug off and put some Anderson power poles on this so I can swap the radio from the car to an ammo can base station?
1 amaff
You CAN. But unless you'll never use the cigarette lighter plug, it might make sense to pick up a socket adapter and wire that to the Anderson connector so you can preserve the stock wiring. If you never use and never plan to use the "damn" cigarette plug, then yeah go nuts. wayoverthere

I did and I put power poles on the plug end as well so I can still use the cigarette lighter power. WRXB215 and amaff
0 OffRoaderX
Yes, as long as the ammo-can can feed the radio enough electricities.
0 WRXB215
Just curious, why an ammo can for a base station. Is it also going to be a go box?
0 Socalgmrs
Yes for sure this can be done. But… if you have to ask do you have the skills to do this? A bad 12v wiring job can burn down your car/truck. So please be careful and make sure you have the proper connections with the proper wire size and fuses in the proper places. This is true but lets not forget the house. @seanpatrickrice what are you going to use for a power supply for the house?
0 WRYS709
I purchased this from Powerwerx instead and kept the best of both worlds: wayoverthere and amaff 1
