WQAI363 Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM Report Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM It seems like mostly everyone makes and breaks their New Years Resolution. The funny thing about that is we do it without thinking. I realize over the years, I have post something that some may got my facts wrong or out of a Cracker Jax Box. And then other try to see things from my point and show where I may need to do my Homework. Speaking of Homework, if my favorite Teacher Friend and unofficial relative were alive Today, He would say Adam did homework, yea right and LA Dodgers will move back to Brooklyn and Oakland A's will go back to Philly. Seriously, I'll do better with commenting on particular subjects and do my best to K. I. S. A. T. T. P. Besides, sometimes I look what have posted and I kind of wonder what I was thinking or try to say. SteveShannon 1 Quote
SteveShannon Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM Report Posted Sunday at 05:58 PM Happy New Year, Adam! Don’t worry about it. You’re a decent man. I have no resolutions. Not that I do things right already, just that I’m not going to change. GreggInFL, WRHS218 and Sab02r 1 2 Quote

73blazer Posted Monday at 02:21 PM Report Posted Monday at 02:21 PM What's a "New Years Resolution?" ... oh those silly made up media things that get headlines every year, like the one going around now on NPR, CNN, BBC, FOX, NYT etc.....about going dry for 75 days. Yeah...good luck, and cheers! If one needs to make a "Ney Years" resolution about something, they probably need to see a therapist as there's probably much more in the locker that needs addressed. The tradition of making New Year’s resolutions is a long-standing practice that dates back to ancient times, with roots in the Babylonian festival of Akitu, celebrated around 3,000 to 4,000 years ago. As of 2025, the tradition has evolved, with many people using the start of the year as an opportunity to reflect on their habits and set goals for self-improvement. According to recent reports, only a small percentage of people manage to stick to their resolutions, with around 64% abandoning their goals by the second month of the year. Ancient Origins: The Babylonians made promises to their gods to pay off debts and return borrowed items, marking the beginning of New Year’s resolutions as a way to start the year with a clean slate. Evolution of the Tradition: Over time, the practice of making New Year’s resolutions has moved beyond religious contexts, with people now setting goals for personal improvement, such as eating healthier, exercising more, or saving money. Modern-Day Resolutions: In 2025, popular New Year’s resolutions include spending more time with family and friends, losing weight, exercising more, eating healthier, and saving money, with many people sharing their goals and experiences on social media. Similar here. I assumed my 25W mobile and 3dbi mag mount would work great with a pizza pan in the closet. I was very wrong. Time to get a base antenna, some LMR400 and drill a hole. tcp2525 and SteveShannon 2 Quote

Thank GOD for that. The gym is way too crowded right now. It should thin out in a month or two. tcp2525 and WRUE951 2 Quote
