If I had a Jeep with a carburetor for off-road and for reliability I would be running a Holley Electric Fuel pump so I wouldn't have to worry about a fuel pump failure. The Holley Electric Fuel pumps are made in the USA and they don't fail.

Funny you mention that, I keep a high flow electric to use as a fuel transfer pump.  I'll have to see what brand it is.

Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. And that goes for old or new jeeps.

We do have to get creative at times installing radios and other accessories in any new vehicle since space is at a premium.

@nokones your dual battery setup looks nice. And I don't blame you for going with two batteries. I need to do the same with my Honda Pioneer 500. Winches are hard on motorcycle sized batteries, especially when plowing snow.

And hopefully, Jeepers know when you flat tow with all four wheels on the ground what gear selection position to be in for both the automatic and manual trannies, and the transfer case. Being in the wrong position could and more than likely cause severe damage to the driveline system.

I'm not sure who your trying to school... Carburetors are always going to struggle on steep angles. Floats don't work upside down and overflow tubes will eventually overflow... When you've broken an anemic dana 30 axle or just can't make it over the obstacle with at best 33" tires. The jeep community will still help you and your bad attitude. 

 I don't even consider myself a jeeper and this irritates me. My jeeps a diesel, I don't have a dog in this fight...

Never had a bad attitude moment with the Jeep set as a non Jeep driving off-roader; pulling them out, or being pulled out by them. Again the trail is like out on the water, you always help anyone in need, no matter what they're driving!

Yes APX series is slick. In our older JK I used to have a dual deck single head. That gave the wife all 4 bands with only one O7 control head. My work truck has 2 dual deck APX setups. So basically I can be on any 4 bands at once on any radio. 

I have a XPR with HHCH sitting in the shop to install but DMR is basically defunct in my area for ham and commercial in UHF so never put it in. 

Right now my jeeps all have a mix match of stuff - 

09 JK - APX8500 w/HHCH, Kenwood TMD700 (APRS), Midland 275, Uniden CMX CB

18 JK Rubicon - APX8500 w/HHCH, Midland 275 (Jeep Model) and Yaseu FTM400 (APRS)

20 JT Gladiator - APX8500 w/HHCH, Midland 275, Uniden CMX, FTM400 (APRS)

2023 Drag Pak Challenger - 8500 w/HHCH (hidden in center console)

Yes I run the Uniden CMX760 in both the JT and the 09JK. I have it on the bench from my old work truck just dealing with finding an antenna location on my new work truck. Its small and with 4 multibands on roof already Its been lower on the list. The new JK (18) is for the wife and being JJUSA is all GMRS probably just leave GMRS for now. Tomorrow will be it first trail ride since we got it done.
