Our group of repeater owners comprises radio enthusiasts working together on a joint project we like to call Midwest GMRS. From Information technology to heavy construction, our owners and members represent the true diversity of the Midwestern United States. Our target audience is the myGMRS network Region 169, which comprises IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, SD, and WI. Yearly membership covers a small portion of our monthly expenses and includes instant access to the Midwest GMRS, IA, IL, IN, OH, and WI repeater information. You will no longer need to request access as membership grants it. Please consider joining; it's only $.0.48 a week!

An Amature radio club that has been established quite a few years ago that has accepted our GMRS group as arm of that club. THat has added 16 new members to help the existing club grow. They have also allowed us to put a repeater on their tower on Mount Penn in Reading, Pa.

Use of the repeater is free and I encourage its use. I am hoping to expand the coverage of the repeater by the end of 2023 or first part of 2024. Right now the antenna sits at tree level at about 70' and I will try to get it to 100' above the treeline and change the antenna to a CommSpec DB408. This should effectively expand the coverage to about 30 miles. I will be adding a list of parts needed, if you wish to contribute you can supply the parts or make a financial donation to this project. Thanks Frank WqWr627

This group of GMRS enthusiasts are located in Southwest Florida. We are witty, snarky, diverse, and unlike other radio services, each of us has our own strengths, no one is a complete expert on their own. SWFL GMRS actively invites anyone to Come Now and join the group. We freely give of our time and knowledge. And we will certainly ask your thoughts on a wide variet of topics so that each of us can build and maintain the best damn systems we can, and enhance the hobby. The BeepNet is open to all.
