This group of GMRS enthusiasts are located in Southwest Florida. We are witty, snarky, diverse, and unlike other radio services, each of us has our own strengths, no one is a complete expert on their own. SWFL GMRS actively invites anyone to Come Now and join the group. We freely give of our time and knowledge. And we will certainly ask your thoughts on a wide variet of topics so that each of us can build and maintain the best damn systems we can, and enhance the hobby. The BeepNet is open to all. We meet regularly, beginning at about 9-ish on the 462.600 repeater located in Venice.

Use of the repeater is free but a free club membership is recommended. The antenna sits on a Commercial Tower at approximately 190 feet and CommScope DB408-B. The effective coverage is about 40 miles. This repeater belongs to CLAARC (Clifton Linden Area Amateur Radio Club) and was established as a community repeater to facilitate basic communications needs for everyday use and is open for public safety use should the need arise. In giving community members access to this system we hope that it can also function as a stepping stone that leads to a long and happy Amateur Radio Hobby. Thanks Frank N6AQ / WqWr627
