Here were my results KG-Q10H 2m - 4.5 watts 1.25m - 2.9 watts 70cm - 6.5 watts 6m - 1.1 watts GMRS - 5.5 watts MURS - 4.6 watts also, while similar they are not the same. The Q10H doesn’t do CB.

Probably to make sure the president doesn't get credit for quelling the riots.

No point in trying to have an intelligent conversation with a name-caller!

go back an read my orginal question. in the meant time.. i'm ignoring your crazy azz
-
Rather than call you names, I will simply point out that no one on this thread, including you, has reported hearing “Los Angeles rioters on GMRS!”
-
The sheriff didn't do a 180. If they had been in charge from the start it would have been squashed quickly. Totally different mindset between LAPD and the L A County Sheriff.
-
it doesent stop them from sharing collective information with other agencies like the FBI and DOJ.. I have noticed that LAPD and LA County Sheriff did a 180 take for whatever reason on enformcing the riots. They are actually arresting people like crazy right now.. More than likely becasue the cheif was getting heat for not standing up for hois men and women.

WSFU381 started following WOUXUN KG Q10H (unlocked) vs KG Q10G

Has anyone done an output power test on an unlocked KG Q10H that will do GMRS? I'm curious to know if the power level of an unlocked Q10H is significantly lower than the Q10G. It would be nice to have the Q10H, but not at a significant power loss for GMRS. The Yaesu HT's with the MARS mod take a significant hit, so I'm wondering if unlocking the KG's will do the same. Also, are the H and G actually different radios or is it just a matter of selecting a MODE to accommodate the H or G? Thanks

Here's the problem with that scenario. This is Los Angeles (I am a life long resident) where currently LAPD and most other police agencies no longer try to arrest criminals. There are lots of reasons why, but basically the citizens voted for this. So even if they can identify a criminal, unless it's a murder(and then it's iffy) the cops don't even bother to respond.

WTF are you talking about?? do we have another SOCAL on our hands

Just as I suspected: hardly a credible source for anything “political”

You seem reluctant to disclose the Ham frequencies involved.

@SteveShannon I figured that much. oh well guess I better get to studying for the Ham test.
-
there was chatter on HAM the other day that they heard some rioters using GMRS frequencies. I was just listening, i didn't get into a conversation with them

Retevis RT97L portable repeater -- first impressions

It would if your particular sample is capable of slightly more output than advertised... Check it with a dummy load and see what you get. -

That wouldn't explain why I got the expected output with the other antennas and more than the advertised power with the Nagoya. -
What about the protestors? Are they using GMRS too?

Most radios will reduce power as the SWR increases to protect the finals. That's probably what you were seeing. Ross, WSIQ999 -

They told us at the voter fraud conference that turning phone off protects against SingRay detection.. Googling this topic confirms that StingRay can't detect a pone f in Airplane mode or if phone is off. But it does mention there are malware apps if installed on a phone that can control a phone to make it 'look' like the phone is either off or in airplane mode. I don't think this tactic would pass the sniff test if cops deployed this.

@WSIK532 Channel 16 is the same receive frequency as RPT2. The difference is that the repeater input channel is 5.000 MHz higher. Without setting any receiver tones you’ll be able to hear the repeater but unless you have the transmit tone right they’ll never hear you.
-
I don’t think people understand that the gps is just a receiver. Although it’s possible to see where a person has been if you have access to the phone’s data, the gps in your phone transmits nothing by itself. If you’re in airplane mode the phone does not “ping the towers” regardless of what ChatGPT says.
