I purchased my "Pro" after some strong online encouragement from some guy with a jeep.  I was prepared for the long battle of upgrading the antenna only to find that the antenna came off faster than a greased pig.  The radio works great, but in Texas we don't measure distance in "Farrs", we measure distance in Times.

Manufacturing defect, send it back. 😉

I got mine (2x) in the mail last week and just for kicks gently twisted one of the antennas. ZERO glue, came right off.

I ordered my GMRS Pro on February 2023 . My antenna came off very easy .
I plan on another GMRS Pro , so I hope the antenna comes off .

Oh my word! That did it. I can't believe I neglected to try that. I think because the app handled the pairing directly, without my needing to do it manually in the Bluetooth settings, it didn't even register. Thanks!

It’s a solid radio with lots of cool features! I’m glad I got it. Now just trying to decide which 50 watt mobile unit to get for my car. 👀

Bring up the KG-1000 software and go to the "Scan Group" tab and create two scan groups such as GMRS and Reptrs (you are limited to 6 characters).
Assign each scan group what channels you want assigned to that group - must be sequential channel numbers. By default the GMRS simplex channels on the KG1000 are channels 1-22 and the repeater channels are 23-30
Load the "GMRS" scan group on the left VFO (display) and the "Reptrs" on the other
A few things to consider:
See the below example - since the scan list works by sequential channel numbers, its a good idea to save frequencies to channels numbers in groups and leave gaps for adding new channels to that scan group. If you are scanning something like 70cm ham repeaters then save those channels as channel 200-299. 
The KG-1000G+ I had (first week they came out) had a bug on dual scanning. Instructions say start scanning on one side, press the band button to go to the other side and hit scan and you can scan both sides at once. There is/was a bug that pressing the band or scan button (sold the radio, forgot what button) to change sides on the radio itself to start scanning on the one side then the other side would stop scanning. If you hit the button on the microphone it works fine. Don't know if that's still the case.
 

Try going into your phone’s Bluetooth settings and select forget device, then repair it as a new device. 

Most likely that's just BS. Manufactures still stick crap like that on their products hoping some will believe it.

Just received my GMRS-Pro a few days ago. The antenna does come off. That said, There is a notice that says you will void the warranty if you remove it. 😏

Your repeater needs an intervention.

I mean...if they can make it last by dialing it down, it some kind of progress, right? ?‍♂️

I had a very early unit and the antenna came right off. Since then I have seen reports ranging from people just needing to give it a rough-twist to get it off to not even being able to get it off with a crowbar and a hammer.
For BTech to get certification for the radio the antenna must be non-removable (because it transmits data).. Once word got out that they were easily removable it looks like BTech upp'd their glue-game.
