I am retired and moved from Washington DC to the mountains of North Carolina in 2015. My last position was as Spectrum Manager for the association representing the state departments of transportation. I was the national frequency coordinator for the Highway Maintenance frequencies (PH) under Section 90.20 of the FCC rules. I served on several national boards and groups dealing with land mobile radio. The organizations included the Land Mobile Communications Council, Public Safety Communications Council, Public Safety Spectrum Trust, National Public Safety Telecommunications Council, and on the FCC Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council Federal Advisory Board.
