  1. I think the KG-935G looks very good and very serious. Its nice to see user experience being taken in to consideration for how the products will actually be used.
  2. These units are new to market. Anyone have the KG-UV9G and can explain the differences as offered by the newer KG-935G?
  3. Absolutely. If I have any struggles, I'll reach out. I've done some reading.
  4. I'm wanting to increase my TX and RX capability in simplex (radio to radio) communications when I'm not using a repeater and to help make my connection to my local repeater that much better. However, I will only be installing the antenna in the Attic. So, based on my research, I need one of the following antennas. I would appreciate opinions on which one and why. Requirements: 30 foot run from attic to my office (lmr400?) Mobile unit with a SO-239 in. Handheld with a SMA Female in. Which antenna? Copper J-Pole Antenna by KB9VBR Slim Jim Antenna by KB9VBR BR-6140 unity gain from Browning DBJ-UHF GMRS by Ed Fong Thank your for your help.
  5. I have on order the Retevis RA25 (DB-20G aka AnyTone AT-779UV). Going to pair it with a Nagoya UT-72G.
  6. I actually have the RT-76P. I like it but for the orange accents. Waiting on the software to catch up on extra memory channels.
  7. I like the look, more serious. I would prefer a channel knob over a flashlight. Seems like it is going to be designed around repeater usage, which really, that is what GMRS is all about for me.
  8. How about the newly released Nagoya NA-771G and NA-701G? They optimized for GMRS?
  9. How was the testing?
  10. Thank you for the ideas. I should've provided more clarity on the short option. I want a short one, even with bad range, so that the handheld is really pocket-able. For when I'm in a building and only need 1,000ft range and such. I do see these really stubby options online. It won't hurt the radio will it? That was kinda my concern.
  11. I know the Nagoya NA-771G is highly recommended for small hand-held radios. I'm playing around with a Retevis RT76P and a Radioddity GM-30. I assume the Radioddity RD-332 is actually a renamed Nagoya antenna. Anyway, these are 15" antennas. I like that, but I also want a really short one, like less than 5" for times when I know I'll be really close to a contact, like in a building or warehouse. Any good options that are GMRS optimized? Or does it matter for so short a distance? What's a good tiny antenna? Thank you
  12. I would like to update the firmware on my RT76P. Does anyone have any new links?
