That I don't know. I don't have the ability to program the GM300's to see how it's been setup. I've continued to try and play around, checking the manual and cross referencing things and I'm just, lost.

Yep. Works as intended. This is why I'm so confused. I'm thinking about scrapping the rick and just patching radio to radio.
-
So I got some jumpers and got 13v out of pin 13 and pin 7 as ground (radio is upside down). I mirrored it to the RICK as the connectors would be and I'm still not having the rick power up.

Welp I gave that a try with pin 7 being my ground and pin 13 being +12v. And both radios were giving 13.2v. I'm suspecting that it may be my patch cables. If it is, I'll feel really stupid. I'm going to just order new connectors and rewire the patch myself in hopes that my problem. Ive douted it being them since it worked with my GM300's and these are 16pin fully populated. sorry to be a inconvenience.
-
Hello and thank you for helping. Yes I've been using the power switch to try and get power onto it. The patch cables have all 16 pins populated for both radio and rick ends. I've adjusted the programming to what you have noted. The TX radio the COR is now null and on RX radio pin 3 is now also null. Thanks for that insight. I've also opened the rick and my dip switches are set to what the manual worksheet has for my needs. Even with all this, I'm still not getting power sent to the Rick. So I'm stumped again. Could it be possible that there are jumpers in the CDM's that I'm missing? I've opened one up and didn't see any.

Hello Internet. I'm trying to use 2 Motorola CDM1250 radios for a repeater configuration with a motorola RICK, and I'm having a difficult time trying to get the cables from the CDMs to power and control the Rick. I know the rick and cables work because they came out of my working GR300, but they won't now. I'm confident it's some settings in the CPS but I've played around with it extensively and I've became exasperated. There's some magic setting I'm missing. Does anyone have an idea? **Pin 4 and Pin 12 on the RX radio is set because I want to use the RICKs knockdown feature where if I transmit a DTMF tone, it'll kill the TX repeater with ignition sense.

Unfortunately I got a battery with the same serial too. Plus weird behavior. When put on a impress charger, it will only attempt to recondition the battery and never charge it. I left it on for 3 days with no change of the chargers status light. When I attempt to read the Impress data on the radio it just says "Unknown Battery", and it displays this when booting up too. Time to get a refund. ?

Merry Christmas to all. I need help find the right software for my radio.
Moui replied to Luish19779's question in Technical Discussion
Hello, and congrats on your new radio! The CPS/programming software you are looking for is ASTRO 25 Portable CPS which is a discontinued product from Motorola and they dont carry/offer/sell that software anymore (as far as im aware). Your best bet is to have a shop program it for you, find a friend who has the CPS or if you get desperate, find a seller on eBay who offers programming. Hope this helps! -

The license allows 25 units total and we only have 19 radios because so many are broken, stolen and who else knows.
-
At the theatre, they have bought all there radios and are not leased, most of them are Kenwood TK-3302-U models. They use 464.xxxx in analog and the theatre/house owner is the licensee for the frequencies. We dont use a repeater but just 5 channels for our tasks. That's why just adding 5 more channels to a radio im already using would be nice to have and plus I wouldn't have to take one from work when we are already short on them. As for my EFJ being part 90, im okay with "risks" of using it for GMRS part95 debate as I would rather reuse/recycle the radio in this manor and put it to use rather then have it end up being e-waste. Plus its cool to play around with odd, unique and different equipment that just... works.

My first and favorite radio I got for GMRS was a XTS3000. I went ahead and customized it with a neat "toxic/radioactive" (lol radio) scheme. Might not be Part95 but I'd believe we should put a old radio to use than to just have it end up as waste!

Hello Internet, I have a EF Johnson 5100 that I use for GMRS and I also work in theater which uses UHF radios. I would like to know what I would need in order to appropriately use my personal radio for work so I can use my one radio for everything. I know at some point I saw a post about getting written permission from the operator but I cant find that post and im having a difficult time going through the book of the gods to find the information I need. I know the frequencies that are used and the house owner is okay with me doing this, but I want to make sure I do my due diligence in accordance with the rules. Thanks you for the help and input to come

I found a part number, NNTN6945A. Searching for it doesn't seem to bring up much info but there isn't much info on the radio it self anyways.

Here is the battery it currently has. It is PMNN4083CR 1500mAh batt.

Hello internet! Very odd and specific question to ask, but does anyone have or know where I can buy a Motorola XTS4000 belt clip? I have a xts4000 for guest services at work and I love the appeal of the flip phone ascetic and would like to have a better way of carrying my radio aside from stuffing it in a pocket. If anyone has one and would be willing to sell it to me, I'm open to the idea. I've tried my best to find simular ones but generic pouch kinds are unfavorable due to having to flip the radio open to change channels and zones. Thanks!
