My brother got his license and some midland micro mobiles back in 2017 when I was more into cb. I picked up a few bubble pack handhelds instead which we used on road trips and camping but I just got a btech 50x1 and I wanted to be more involved in the gmrs community since where I moved to is pretty much dead for local cb traffic and propagation has been terrible lately for trying to make dx contacts. Are the family members limited to only communicating with a family member or can they communicate with another gmrs user that is non-family of a different gmrs account, different call sign.
