My brother got his license and some midland micro mobiles back in 2017 when I was more into cb. I picked up a few bubble pack handhelds instead which we used on road trips and camping but I just got a btech 50x1 and I wanted to be more involved in the gmrs community since where I moved to is pretty much dead for local cb traffic and propagation has been terrible lately for trying to make dx contacts.
