SemperFidelity Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 VERY strong and clear signal. At first I thought it might be the one in Ellicott City MD, but then the main guy said it was in Gainesville Va/Bull Run. He also said he has hit it as far south as Fredericksburg. As I listened more there was even a faint contact from BALTIMORE. I am in Sterling , Va and was listening on a KG-805G. I did not see it listed on the map. Matt G WRKQ685 Quote
AdmiralCochrane Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Remotely possible that you are hearing 3 different repeaters on the same frequency. Nothing to prevent it. Quote
skn1 Posted December 28, 2021 Report Posted December 28, 2021 Hi Matt - Is the Gainsville/Bull Run GMRS repeater info. published? Also, are you able to dial into Blue Mt. Repeater? I have the BTech - do I need to program the radio to use any of these repeaters? Thanks. Quote
dirkvan Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 Define ch.19? On my radio (GM-30) ch.19 = 462.6500. That is also part of the standard GMRS repeater channel 5 pair (462.650/467.650). I'm not aware of any NoVa repeaters on that particular pair, but then again, I don't know much! I'd be interested to learn more, though! Were there any CTCSS codes on the channel you were montoring? When I kerchunk that pair using travel tone, I do get a response. Been monitoring for a while but no traffic. Happy New Year! Quote
