WRTH863 Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 I just put up a RT97 repeater, but I think the factory has it set to narrow. Should I set it wide? Quote
0 OffRoaderX Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 Wider is better.. Unless you plan on using narrowband radios. WRQJ683, WRPR990 and TOM47 1 1 1 Quote

0 oldtech Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 GMRS is a 'wide band' service. Unfortunately, a lot of rigs were sold that do not do wide band, but were certified for GMRS anyway. Mostly from the Middle Land of Misery. Anyway, you should set it up to meet the needs of your users. My '97 is set to wide because I bought a wideband handheld for every member of the family... and, to my aged ears, wide band sounds better. Quote
0 WRTH863 Posted July 10, 2022 Author Report Posted July 10, 2022 I asked Retivis what the default factory settings were and they sent this image. I need to get back up there and reprogram it. TOM47 1 Quote
