Radioddity DB25-G Wont Power Up

I just recently purchased a Radioddity DB25-G GMRS radio. When I first put this radio in my truck it powered up and worked fine. after a minute the radio flickered but stayed on. I checked to make sure all connections were secure found everything as it should be. As I went to hook up the external specker the radio shut down and would not restart. Fuse is not blowen and all connections are secure. The display shows very faintly. Dose anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

First thing I would check is the incoming voltage; see if it sags when you power up.

the radio was ON  but not in use,  next second shot off , I change the fuses but no luck.

I hope you resolve your problem, share solutions if you find any please.

Just curious... How is your radio wired? Directly to the battery, through the cigarette lighter, to the fuse box, etc?

Just a thought here. A lot of cigarette lighter type plugs have fuses in the cord/plug. Unscrew the plug and check for a blown fuse in it if you are using it for your power source.

I have had this same issue happen twice with my original radio and the replacement.  Has anyone figured out what is wrong our how to fix the issue?  Could a short on the antenna kill the radio?  or could there have been an issue with the external speaker that I used?
