Do operators keep a common log of contacts?? Is there a common log book used??

With GMRS generally being a "bring your own contacts" type of service, I doubt there is anything geared directly towards it.  However, I would assume you can simply use a traditional logbook or use an application from the amateur service, such as N3JFP, and just log it as any band you want. 70cm/UHF would be the closest option.

It's available in .doc format

Any word processor that reads & writes .doc files will let you edit the file to your needs &/or wants

Or you can just design your own using tables in a word processor [that's what I did]

The fields that I have are: name - call sign - QTH - repeater [that I spoke with them on] - notes

Or a spreadsheet will probably work also

Whatever works best &/or easiest is up to the user, you can always change it or update it later on
