NMO mount Dimensions (barrel protrusion from collar)

My call signs was issued today so I can't yet join.

I have a multi-piece through-hold NMO connector.  How much should the barrel (or tip within the barrel) protrude from the threaded collar?  I searched on-line and did not see an answer (except by buying the NMO spec).

When installing an NMO you want the outside ring the same height or a bit lower than the center. On a standard mount thats how it should be. With a 3/8" style mount you want the center slightly above the brass ring.
